Last week, I hinted that my business was evolving and, I wanted you to be the first to know!
I’m excited to share that I am celebrating a professional transition into …Sexuality, Love, and Relationship Coaching for Women!
As I’m sitting here writing this, there is a part of me that is terrified!
Scared that you might judge me. That you might feel I’m being boastful, weird.… (fill in the blanks).
Isn’t it interesting that our minds can create stories that can stop us or scare us into playing small and not following our hearts desire?
One of the most beautiful things about being in midlife and menopause is that I've started to care less about what people think, and started paying attention to what I truly need and desire.
But, not too long ago, I can remember feeling scared, trapped, depressed, and anxious about my future, and what everyone else thought of me.
I was in the...
When I look back now, I realize I was in denial.
I can remember chatting with a friend a couple years ago, and she referred to us as "middle-aged."
“I’m not middle-aged!" I snapped.
She replied, “Um… how old do you think you’re going to live to?...”
Ugh… I felt a knot in my stomach as I grappled with the pain of aging. My first thought? Aging stinks!
I could deny it. And, I could pretend that I was an exception. But the reality was, my body was changing.
And just like a kid throwing a tantrum (always at the wrong places and times), I decided that I was going to fight it.
I felt angry for all the time I wasted.
I was filled with regret for all the things I haven’t done yet.
I ached for all the moments I worried over stupid things. If only I knew then what I do now–– I would have enjoyed myself more!
Well, we all know how well THAT works....
So, while I can’t go back and change...
We all have parts of our body that we don’t particularly like.
I remember when I was a little girl I taped my ears back because I didn’t want them to stick out like my dad’s (sorry dad!) When I was eight, I distinctly recall an adult telling me that I was going to be pretty when I grew up.
So guess what? At that moment, I formed a belief that I wasn’t pretty, and when I got older I would be pretty. So, I couldn’t wait to grow up! But the problem was that no matter how much I aged, I never had that feeling. I would look back at pictures and think, "Wow I was pretty then!" But I still never felt that way in the present moment. As I aged, I would only see flaws and regret not appreciating my youth.
The truth is, I struggled with body shame and low self-esteem for many years. I was confident and determined on the outside, yet insecure on the inside. This caused me to dive into self-help books, striving for achievement and success to find...
Can I tell you about the time menopause fatigue almost got the best of me?
A few years ago, I was completely overwhelmed. For most of my life, I was known as the "perky" one, with plenty of positive energy to give to the world. I was a high-powered entrepreneur working in health and wellness, and got into a comfortable rhythm of treating my body right to reap the benefits of having great energy during the day.
However, as soon as I hit perimenopause, everything changed. I kept trying to fake the superwoman demeanor, when really, all I wanted to do was crawl back into bed. Starbucks became my afternoon pick-me-up, whereas before, I never drank a second cup of coffee.
My life started to feel incredibly busy, but not very productive, let alone fulfilled. I felt tired all evening, but when it was time to go to bed, I'd get a burst of energy and couldn’t sleep.
The next morning, after hitting the...
As I looked out the window, I noticed a doe laying down in the grass. What struck me as odd was that it was 1:00pm. Ordinarily, I would see deer around dusk, but I had never seen one laying down in the afternoon.
In the past, I might have walked away and never put another thought to it, and went back to my busy life and my never ending to-do lists.
But today, I paused.
I reflected on why this momma might be resting in the middle of the day. I got curious. Was she simply tired? I stood there long enough that I decided to see if she would stay there while I quickly grabbed my phone. As you can see, I was able to take a photo without disturbing her at all.
Occasionally, we would look at each other and then she would look away. I could tell that she was focused. There was so much peace in that moment. Deeper than just smelling the roses. I felt her energy and my guess is that she was nesting and getting ready to birth. It is spring after all!
Whether you’re single or in a relationship, February 14th can be a great reminder to slow down and give ourselves more compassion, love, and even a little sexiness.
If you're single like me, then it can be a day that constantly reminds you that you are not in a relationship. If you're reducing your sugar intake, then chocolate is everywhere–– mocking you in the face. Perhaps you just lost a loved one and everywhere you turn, you are reminded of your loss. Or maybe you’re in a romantic relationship and you have the pressure of finding the perfect gift or date, or the disappointment when it doesn't turn out as planned.
Whatever your circumstance, it’s easy to let social media, commercials, and shopping malls make you feel inferior. While you may feel alone with these feelings, there are many others in the same situation as you.
So, how do you enjoy Valentines without boycotting it or allowing it to make you feel less-than? I invite...
“It's a holiday weekend–– next week I'm going to start losing the weight...”
“I think I might try out that diet my friend told me about...”
“I'm feeling super bloated lately, I think I need to go on a cleanse again...”
“Maybe I will call that weight loss company that sends out the packaged food…”
Is this you?
Are the words “diet” and “weight loss” in your head, on repeat?
Do you look at some foods as GOOD or BAD?
Do you promise yourself when you look in the mirror that tomorrow will be the day?
And what usually happens? Well, tomorrow never really shows up. So here is the good news for you – forget tomorrow; TODAY is your day!
Whether you have a birthday, holiday, or special occasion THE TRUTH IS—THERE WILL NEVER BE A PERFECT DAY TO START.
But, what if you didn’t HAVE to be PERFECT? What if you could hit the RESET button every day you choose?
All over the world, women struggle with their weight.
Years pass by and as those unwanted extra pounds continue to pile on, and you ask yourself— will anything ever work for me?
You try the latest diets, detox teas, exercise routines… Some of them worked, some of them didn't— but at the end of the day, nothing lasted forever and you're still not happy with your weight.
Have you ever considered that the secret to losing weight – permanently – is within you?
Now I am NOT suggesting that you beat yourself up even more than you already have. In fact, what I'm calling for— is exactly the opposite.
Let me explain— because I know this sounds simplistic, and perhaps a little "woo-woo."
By learning how to truly love yourself (which is no small feat, btw), you unlock your hidden potential not only to lose weight permanently but embrace the life of your dreams.
What? How? Really?
Because when we are in a state of self-compassion, we...

Making any kind of REAL change in our lives is no small feat.
So after you’ve thoroughly patted yourself on the back, its time to create a game plan for overcoming all the obstacles you’re probably going to face.
Because you know what the truth is?
“The more fear we feel about a specific enterprise, the more certain we can be that that enterprise is important to us and to the growth of our soul. That’s why we feel so much Resistance. If it meant nothing to us, there’d be no Resistance.”
In other words,...
